Barli Research and Innovation Foundation is a society registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 whose main objective is to promote Science, Research and Development. This foundation is funded by an Investment Consultancy known as Investa Fusion. The Co-founder of Investa Fusion Pratik Barli created a fund from his personal investments to promote the impactful research work in field of Science, Engineering and Design. He himself being an engineer found out that country like India spends only 1% of its GDP on R&D and Government incentives for R&D cannot work beyond a point. Many R&D centres recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) are there only for the tax incentives. India has several private educational institutions but none that are world standard or even attempting to be so. So with this society he has tried to make a small attempt to recreate an environment of research in India.
